Is Christopher Cantwell about to cooperate with the feds? According to a shocking screenshot obtained by ROTC Media, it certainly appears that way. The screenshot, which is alleged to have been taken directly from Discord from a conversation between Cantwell and another person, seems to indicate that he is considering working with law enforcement and federal agencies in order to possibly mitigate the repercussions of his pending charges stemming from the disastrous “Unite The Right” rally in Charlottesville. [UPDATE: The screenshot was reportedly released by prominent Alt Right figure and hacktivist Weev.] According to the screenshot, Cantwell himself supposedly declares that he has decided to cooperate with authorities in attempting to identify and prosecute members of Antifa. Despite his insistence that he will not be working to implicate other people in Alt Right circles, if Cantwell has decided to work with law enforcement in any capacity it could spell doom for a movement that has already suffered many setbacks. Just a few weeks ago, the Traditionalist Worker Party disbanded after it’s leader Matthew Heimbach was caught having an affair with his spokesman’s wife. And most recently it’s been alleged that Heimbach never handled the legal fees in the aftermath of Unite The Right, leaving his former followers to foot the bill. While we cannot 100% ascertain whether or not the screenshot is legitimate, if it turns out to be true this could be another critical setback in a movement already besieged by infighting and problems.
White nationalist Christopher Cantwell made national headlines last year during the ill-fated Unite The Right rally in Charlottesville, VA. The man the media dubbed “The Crying Nazi” had a warrant issued for his arrest after the now infamous Alt Right rally in August. Following an incident in which Cantwell was alleged to have maced three individuals during a melee at the event, Cantwell has been engaged in a legal battle and was held without bond for almost 6 months. After one alleged victim was discredited and one charge was dropped, Cantwell was able to post $25,000 bond using money he raised from his supporters. According to one source, Cantwell “made a fortune off of Charlottesville”. He even continued to host his show, “Radical Agenda” from jail via telephone.
